All Levels No registration necessary (FREE with Admission) "NEW"

This make it and take it class is open Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday, is for all ages, and is FREE with your admission. It requires no knitting or crochet experience. This neck warmer/scarf will focus on “Upcycling.” You will create a neck warmer and using old sweaters or fleece, and embellish with silk, ribbons, fiber, yarns, etc., to create a functional, wearable art “scarf.” Barbara Assejew will be on hand to assist you with the color selection and instructions. Babylock will provide machines to use throughout the weekend. Gloria’s Sewing machine store’s staff will also assist you with the machines.  Old sweaters, fleece, yarns, silk ribbons, fabric pieces, fibers, will be provided for you to explore your creativity. This is an open classroom format in the prefunction area. There is no reservation or registration necessary. Simple color selection and an easy felting technique is all that is needed to create a “one of a kind” neck warmer for yourself or as a gift. This “scarf” is a creative and imaginative way to use your yarn stash and leftover fabric swatches and a great idea for a home party. You may bring your own yarn, if you prefer, and embellish it with accent beads or a brooch when you get home.

Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday. This class will be led by Barbara Assejew, Kate Silberberg, Gloria Horn and associates and local fiber artists.
